Hi there, Just a quick note to say a few things. First, a new entry is in the Alphasmart and I just have to get it together to get it online and you'll see it and hopefully if what I'm doing in the background works, there'll be pictures from the new digital camera. Second, I was asked yesterday to not include any further references to Casey and Crow in the journal. So don't think they died or anything they're just living their lives outside the journal now. I was crabby at first since of course they do live here and do play a role in the life we're leading but then thought about it. See, before that happened, I was already considering changes to the journal's focus. You've all seen a glimpse of what our life is - the travelogue part that says what we're doing day to day, carrying water, gathering wood. And I was beginning to feel like - well *that's* been done. Would you all be around as readers five years from now if every entry was just me saying the usual: "The weather is X, for dinner we had Y (Sage slept and I woke her up when it was done), Paul, Sage and I hung out at the tipi with Kitey it was fun" Probably not. So I hope over the next few months to get a little better at turning the spotlight inward - into the life of Sage and I and how it's being to continue to change and try to improve as parents, human beings, citizens of the planet, etc. Possibly a focus that everyone can identify with more too - after all, not everyone can or *wants* to move to the country and do what we're doing but I think we're all interested in improving ourselves. And what timing too - just as I'm considering that, two books about journaling arrived from Eldonna Bouton (www.whole- heart.com) whose site we're in the process of redesigning that seem like they'll be really helpful in refocusing what I'm doing. That's not to say that I'll never say what happens with us or anything - just that I don't think I'll write an entry just for the sake of telling about a routine day where not much unusual happened. Know what I mean? So maybe today or tomorrow the new entry (written before I really decided to change focus) will be up. - -Todd todd@tyrtle.com www.tyrtle.com ------------------------------ End of b2bnotify-digest V2 #9 *****************************
