Ferry recorded two songs from Goffin's writing partnership with his wife Carole King - Don't Ever Change and Will You Love Me Tomorrow. The Commander said that he considered the latter instead of the former when recording These Foolish Things, before returning to it much later, and has praised The Shirelles version frequently. Goffin's daughter Louise also appeared with BF promoting WYLMT. TFT may have been a fond look back to his formative years, but BF was careful to choose a strong selection of populist writers for the tracks on that album: Dylan, Beatles, Stones, Stevie Wonder, Beach Boys, Smokey Robinson, Lieber/Stoller etc in addition to Goffin and King. Cute move. Funnily enough I saw a BBC4 documentary about Carole King just last week, which also featured fellow Brill Building alumnus Barry Mann, who co-wrote I Love How You Love Me which also featured on TFT.
