WELCOME TO 2014 5 February 2014 | Posted by Andy Mackay It is always disappointing not to say annoying to re-visit a website and find that nothing has been added or taken away for years.I apologise to any of you who have been disappointed or annoyed in this way since January 2011 ! This is a short update to let you know we are all still here though we haven't worked all together for a few years. Andy and Paul finished the Roxy tour in New Zealand in March 2011 .Goodbye Roxy Music - who knows? Some hand problems (an hereditary condition called Dupitreyn's contracture for those who are interested ) meant that Andy couldn't play properly until after a couple of small operations so did little playing in 2011/12. All successful ,and playing better than ever. He has recently contributed sax to records by both Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno and has recorded and played live with Japanese superstar Hotei . This is a quick and sketchy report on other Metaphors to be followed by more information. TJ has been on tour with Bat For Lashes along with other performing and studio work,Julia has been playing in Rod Stewart's band Hazel has been recording writing and playing with fringe theatre in London.Paul has been at home in the North East and played on some Lindisfarne gigs.
