Lauren Laverne's dad is Les Gofton. He played in a Sunderland band called 
The  Jazz Board at the same time as Ferry was in the Gas Board. 
He later played in a band called The Influence with John Miles and  Paul 
Thompson and that's as close a link to him playing with Roxy  as there is.
