If there's anyone from the Roxy camp reading this then listen: this is your pension we're talking about! First of all, look at the immersion box sets from pink floyd: overindulgent? Yes? Expensive? Yes? Do they give the fans what they want ? YES! All right, I didnt for one minute expect 5.1 from the Roxy camp. I didn't expect unfinished or unissued extras. What I did expect was a little imagination though. Why not look at all the wonderful issued tracks we have which were faded out early why not extended versions of say dreamhome or hula kula or in fact anything other than the utter bag of sh@te which comprises the so called extras disc? Why not issue the entire existing back catalogue in high def DVD versions - surely this would not have been too onerous a task? And then there's the presentation- a black box. Wow, that must have taken hours to come up with. Not to mention the poor print colours and lack of lyrics on sleeves. This was a massive, missed opportunity from everyone involved in the project- tut tut tut Mactheaxe - plenty of axes left to grind Sent from my iPhone ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2012 12:48:24 +0100 From: Evans Richard Subject: Re: [AVALON] Re: complete studio box set Yep my feelings too - nothing we haven't already got and can't see who would buy it They always seem to get it wrong Richard On 29 Aug 2012, at 12:25, Mark Longhorn wrote: > It seems that the disappointment is overwhelming, as usual. > If there's anyone from the Roxy camp reading this then listen: this is your pension we're talking about! > First of all, look at the immersion box sets from pink floyd: overindulgent?
