Tracy posted: "It's just on facebook they said there was no tour in 2012 and were asking what songs we thought Bryan should record or something." Whoa, I really, really hope the Ferry camp wasn't asking BF's 'friends' for recording suggestions! In what universe does the fan glean, clairvoyantly, unreleased original material that is suitable for publication? Isn't this a bit like asking the blind to target-shoot?! OK, let's assume Ferry's clan wants 'recording suggestions' (and I don't really think Bryan Ferry wants them), what could possibly be offered? - 'Oh, a cover of Dylan song would be nice', or 'How about Bruce Springsteen award-winning songs'. Even better, 'I think a great way to reach out to new audiences could happen if our demi-god would put his spin on Mother Goose nursery rhymes!'. Lame. Lame. Who is the idiot soliciting these suggestions - how disingenuous or stupid does this get? Well, strictly speaking as a long-time BF fan , I really, really would love to have new original work written by Ferry and performed by Ferry - and I'm pretty sure there is not a "snowball's chance in hell' that I could possibly know what material that would be, let alone, called!!! BTW, I HATE Facebook - it is nothing but an insidious and exploitive marketing tool. Anyone ever read Zuckerberg's kiss and tell fine-print? You can dress up a 'Social Network' and fool many a tool. Know what you get when you dance with the Devil... (I do not follow anyone on, nor subscribe to, Facebook, so please ignore the above rant should I have misinterpreted Tracy's post for I have not read the actual/original solicitation.) Happy New Year!
