The dancers, Oliver Thompson, the singers, videos, and mostly Ferry. I was especially impressed by the video show. He just understands images so well. LOVED IT!! Hello All! Anybody from the list coming to Chicago next week? The Maestro will be playing at the Opera House (where I will be seeing "Lucia di Lammermoor " the day before and "Tales of Hoffman" two days later). Any of the usual suspects coming into town for this? - --Andrewo;? Rick, that is a very, very sad story. We were not allowed near the back-stage door. The two 'security' people guarding that area said we had to 'back away' and stand about 100 feet away at the corner of the building which was about another 100 feet from the stage door. By the time we saw the band emerge it was too late to politely gain their attention. We left. On my drive back to Alexandria I felt a small measure of disappointment (This was the first time I've lurked around hoping to stand within ten feet of Ferry.). I then assured myself that I was 'fortunate' not to have gotten near Mr. Ferry - what if he dismissed me as a 'typical' fan (of course, I probably am - minus the hysteria), I thought what if he treated me with rejection? I'd feel a very sacred part of me inside would be slain - plunged into deep depression. I'd morn, as I believe your friend is. And all I am able to offer your friend for consolation is the fact that it was the 'head of security' who rejected her (He was distinguishable within the crowd all night long - slinged, suited, and rakish dirty-blond hair.). He was only doing his job - ruthlessly, coldly - but that is probably why he is the security boss. Please tell her, 'the next time will be the best time'.... BTW I believe we may have visited with your friend and her party. Lovely women who came in from Boston for the show. I'm sorry the dream didn't pan-out this time. Happy Trails.
