There's a page and a half on Ferry essentially promoting his Sept. 3 Castle gig as part of the Edinburgh Festival. It's by Aidan Smith who always comes over as a fan and talks about him still being out there as he approaches 66 and catching a salmon on the Tyne. Nothing new to us - aimed at shifting a few more seats for a gig that isn't sold out. It's the only Scottish gig of this tour and I had initially held out anticipating a decent Glasgow venue. So with nothing else in prospect my options are crap seat, crap venue (outdoors in Scotland is risking monsoon rains in any season - cf Rod Stewart's gig last year) and a tour that is Roxy without the Roxy and Olympia without the Olympia. I could easily cave at the last minute and go, but with less than two weeks left I'm still pondering. Are many other Avalonians going? Cheers. In Dallas with the temps. 107/108 degrees I'd welcome anything that said cool. We had a venue outdoors a few weeks ago with Kings of Leon. After a few songs they closed as the singer came down with a possible heat stroke. They were under air-condition but the 3 sides were exposed. So still the heat was fierce.Send your rain our way Please.............
