I'm almost as into this series as you are. Brilliant!!!!! (at least) Two covers I know of were preformed By BF or Roxy on stage and there was no official release, but each appears on a bootleg. Roxy Music did (I'm A) Roadrunner - Junior Walker & The Allstars Back in the Early days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSosQRiXiPw and Ferry did Wooly Bully by SAM THE SHAM AND THE PHARAOHS on the Frantic tour. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHF558u6Q_8 Live or if you prefer the original recording http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Teko8xeGJBQ&feature=related Didn't find a "Live " video of Roadrunner. Ya gotta love Sam & the guys. In their full A-rab finery, they look like a bunch of Shriners, after a parade. (This will probably be lost on our non USA friends) And what's with the "chicks"? Is the Space Age Louise Brooks Supposed to be a Sphinx? Loved this band back-in-the-day, they were kings! Even appeared in the Herman's Hermits movie remake of Girl Crazy. There is also a Youtube Vid of Mr Samudio at the Mohegan Sun Casino circa 2009, but alas, as one wag put in the comments section: "Dude, where's the Farfisa and the stuffed alligator?" Regards, R Deagle Off Topic: I found this video while checking Sam the Sham & The Pharaohs. Young Raquel Welch channeling Barbarella. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgqTS3XcAuI&feature=related The comments below the video are the icing on the cake. I'm pretty sure the recording of it that circulates is from Chicago. Midnight Special was performed with Van Morrison and Lonnie Donnegan on Jools Holland's TV show, Christmas 1999 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVvkmWKu5M8 There are also the two songs performed at the Meltdown Festival in 1999. Can't remember which ones off the top of my head. The list grows!
