He really rated Bryan Ferry very highly. David would ask me about Bryan and Bryan would ask me about David. Bryan Ferry was an absolute genius for looking great on stage and it was all about the tailoring. In a way, David was copying a lot of Bryan Ferry..." I've picked up a few of the old cheapo Top Of The Pops (and similar) albums in charity shops recently simply because they have Roxy songs on there. The most recent being Virginia Plain (not as bad as I was expecting). And that reminded me... I remember seeing a cassette in the early 80s, I'm fairly sure it was called 'A Tribute To Roxy Music' and was on the Chevron label, who were known for doing cheapo knock-off LPs (I had 'tributes' to The Shadows and Showaddywaddy back in the day). However, I can't find any trace of it online. Does anyone remember this or maybe even have it? At the very least it would be good to know that it existed and isn't just some phantom memory I've fabricated.
