Indeed- the first album was stunning in conception and execution- if not the best production ever heard. I remember buying it from the local record shop and spending hours reading and re-reading Simon Puxley's intro and looking at the fabulous photos and not quite getting all the lyrics at first hearing. An absolutely unforgettable experience that was partially repeated with FYP and Eno's early albums, but not since. What do we have to do to get this released? Well, RAH would be a bonus, but not the main thing (no pun intended) for me. I have never heard of the alt version of Manifesto- what do we know about this? The B side of Over You is a rearranged version of Manifesto that omits the long bass & synth-noodling introduction and goes straight to the four note keyboard riff. I prefer it to the original.
