The final Roxy Music album in live form (with the exception of True To Life) sourced from radio broadcasts, soundboard recordings and audience tapes recorded between 1982 and 2011. I've chosen the rehearsal takes of the first two songs as firstly, they're much better quality than the Dublin '82 tape, and secondly, Ferry makes an interesting quip about MTT. The Dublin recordings of these songs are included as bonus tracks. As for the other Avalon-era recordings - Glasgow and NYC - it's interesting to hear how much more lively the band and crowd are than on The High Road. They must have been playing to a bunch of holidaymakers and bemused locals at Frejus! The Glasgow show (once again) has a great atmosphere, and would've made a far better source for Heart Still Beating. The NYC performance is also pretty good, considering Roxy were just a few days away from their final show, supposedly fractious and jaded. The 2001 and 2011 recordings of course feature The Great Paul Thompson, back in his rightful place and proving to Ferry that he was more than up to the job of being the right drummer for Roxy regardless of how soporific they got (something we all knew anyway). He adds a swing to Avalon that it was previously missing. Thanks once again to Dick for the artwork. Here's what we've got: 1. More Than This (1982 tour rehearsal) 2. The Space Between (1982 tour rehearsal) 3. Avalon (Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, 21 September 2001) 4. While My Heart Is Still Beating (Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, 21 September 2001) 5. The Main Thing (Glasgow Apollo, 30 September 1982) 6. Take A Chance With Me (Radio City Music Hall, New York, 26 May 1983) 7. To Turn You On (Birmingham NEC, 31 January 2011)* 8. Tara (Wembley Arena, 24 June 2001)* BONUS TRACKS 9. More Than This (Royal Dublin Society Arena, Dublin, August 1982)* 10. The Space Between (Royal Dublin Society Arena, Dublin, August 1982)* WAV: https://we.tl/M5gOzbEf4r MP3: https://we.tl/aHgsZBzaEb Files available for seven days (until 19th October).
