LIVE [Heather Propes Subject: Re: [AVALON] The 'For Your Pleasure' album... LIVE Thank you so much for these wonderful Roxy tracks, Simon. I enjoyed listening to this at work today and it made me feel like I was young web programmer building the future instead of a jaded old one! The cover is beautiful, and I especially loved the 1975 version of "Strictly Confidential". Brian sang with such passion back then, (the way I used to code). And it's nice to see everyone on the list turned out in their white ties and hats. "that's what it's all about" - innit Indeed! ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 1 Sep 2016 10:49:41 +0100 From: Jocelyn Fiske Subject: Re: [AVALON] The 'For Your Pleasure' album... LIVE Well, the impossible has happened. Thanks to Simon's largesse I have finally created another email account purely to say thank you. After the recent descent into the usual bile in record time, I honestly didn't think Avalon had a purpose anymore. But the re-emergence of spirit came from the usual suspects. So a massive thank you to those who ignited the live thread, to Dick for the artwork, to Han whom, I think, started the CD Tree idea many moons ago (happy to be corrected) and to the selfless work of our own Glossop cherub, Mr Galloway. No ego, no nastiness, just a lovely humbleness and an obvious love for creating something worthwhile. Oh, if only the whole world could be like that! Looking forward to listening to FYP live later today. Thanks again, Simon.
