LIVE Another fine edition... Digital CD tree number 2. Live versions of all the tracks from the 'For Your Pleasure' album (plus a few extras), sourced from radio and tv broadcasts, soundboard recordings and audience tapes recorded between 1972 and 2006. Dick has once again kindly supplied artwork. The selection criteria has been: Recordings not officially released on a live Roxy Music album (Viva, The High Road, Heart Still Beating, 2001 world tour). Different to versions/arrangements from tours featured on officially released live albums. Best possible sound quality. Tracks and sources: 1. Do The Strand (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 18 May 1979) 2. Beauty Queen (Newcastle City Hall, 28 October 1974) 3. Strictly Confidential (Wembley Empire Pool, 17 October 1975) 4. Editions Of You (Beat Club, Bremen, May 1973) 5. In Every Dream Home A Heartache (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 18 May 1979) 6. The Bogus Man (Wembley Arena, 2 August 1980) 7. Grey Lagoons (Paris Theatre, London, August 1972) 8. For Your Pleasure (Wembley Arena, 24 June 2001)* BONUS TRACKS 9. Pyjamarama (Leeds University, 5 October 1975)* 10. The Bogus Man (Munich, 7 May 1973)* 11. Beauty Queen (Glasgow Apollo, October 1974)* 12. Editions Of You (Glasgow Apollo, October 1974)* 13. Do The Strand (Glasgow Apollo, October 1974)* 14. Pyjamarama (Bospop Festival, Holland, 9 July 2006)* *audience recordings I've included a few duplicate tracks in the bonus tracks. The second version of The Bogus Man features Eno (and is probably the best quality recording with Eno from that tour), but I thought it'd interesting to hear how that song sounded with him still in the line up. The Glasgow tracks are included simply because it sounded like an amazing gig. Just listen to that crowd! It must have been incredible to play in front of audiences like that. Finally, Pyjamarama was only perfomed a couple of times on the Siren tour and this is the only known recording. The Bospop version is there because it was good to hear Roxy do that song live again.
