Mr David Bowie Bowie, the greatest innovator in modern music, has gone and we will be a poorer place for it. He has left possibly the greatest collection of work ever recorded. I don't need to list it all here because we will have our own favourites. How many times did you hear a Bowie album for the first time and not go WOW? Maybe Tin Machine but who here expected that leap of style? He should have been knighted a long time ago and I hope he will receive a posthumous award. Its a sad day for music lovers but we can live with his records tapes and CDs. Blackstar is a stunning finale - thank you sir.
