Please discuss in no less than 3000 words: ""The fact that I've been writing it probably makes it sound more like a Roxy thing." (Quote from The Word) Kind of aligns with what Martin alluded to a few months back (God, I bet that's made your day! (:-)) when he said something along the lines of "Roxy is Ferry". But I'm not sure that I agree. Ignoring the covers, the solo output to my mind seems quite distinct from the Roxy material and, I stress, no less the worse for it - I like the self-penned solo material equally and some of it more. I think there are two exceptions which (perhaps coincedently, perhaps not), are the two Eno collaborations Wild Cat Days and I Thought (forgive me if I'm wrong about this - it's all off the top of my head). Even perhaps Limbo, or Sensation, although approaching "Roxy" still strike me as being distinctly BF. I don't know where the border lies or what makes them seem distinct to me but they do. Okay, I was only joking aboutthe 3000 word bit. Manet's "Dejeuner sur l'herbe" (or however you say that) was provocative because she was looking right at you, sort of like the Blue Boy, only she's naked. I love that painting, as well as most by Manet.
