Hello all, this translated with a program, so if it's not okay please don't kill me. From Dutch's Muic Mag OOR ( EAR ). Lokeren FESTIVITIES: ROXY MUSIC IS WORTH VALVE:: 09/08/2010 The Lokerse Feesten had a very successful ten-day look back. As many as 125,000 people came to the Grote Kaai ( Big or Pacific Quay ) in the small Flemish town under Zeeuws-Vlaanderen ( Zeeland Flanders ) to descend into one of the programs themselves are often very different to enjoy. The tenth and last evening and night alongside deserve a fifteen minute fireworks display over the city a worthy closing of the Festival on the square. Who was there: Roxy Music. The band leans on the podium still a number of veterans. Both guitarist Phil Manzanera, saxophonist Andy MacKay, drummer Paul Thompson as in Lokeren beaming from ear to ear figurehead Bryan Ferry are still the core of the British band formed in 1971. Roxy Music opens with the first track from their debut in 1972, Re-Make/Re-Model. It sets the tone of the evening. The band has a special old setlist pulled out of the closet. Then there are many "typical album tracks, including If There Is Some Ting, Editions of You, Out Of The Blue and more of their first four, now classic albums from the first half of the seventies. When the music was groundbreaking, but as downright masterful performance in Lokeren, proves that the music is actually still. Especially when performed by this 12-tal, containing four dose employed, but amazing tricks decision-dark ladies in the background vocals. Of course the audience went with him on the hit Virginia Plain, Do The Strand and Love Is The Drug, the same public (yet almost 15,000 people) also enjoys breathless and mouse silent with classical pianist Colin Good initiated A Song For Europe, that a sublime implemented. Regular saxophonist Andy MacKay may also solos on his sax and oboe, but also for starring Anna Phoebe on violin and 23-years young (but for years with Ferry and Roxy active) guitarist Oliver Thompson. The latter wins with strong solos are crazy hearts of all viewers. The show also has beautiful visuals. This sit next to or through the spot images also included fragments of old clips and pictures of old album covers (especially to think a lot of beautiful women). There are a large festival audience might require some difficult moments in the set, for the diehard fans of the first hour repertoire is true that a wet dream. Nobody complains, however, because the technical level and is great fun. The encore set the 64-year-old Ferry again the crowning glory with a spectacular version of Let's Stick Together (on a solo album) and Jealous Guy (a cover of cum tribute to John Lennon) as moody, but massive sing along Final acts. There was previously some skepticism about a reunion back of Roxy Music, "but They blew my mind". This was a powerful performance from a band with an enormous impact!!! Do we need to say more!
