They had a camera there for the whole gig- surely we could have had a DVD with just the gig on? Also, although I'm sure that people like John Taylor (Duran Duran) are now considered worthy of commenting on Roxy, I's rather have more stuff with the boys themselves- the PT interviews were particularly interesting. I note that Bryan here states openly what we've more or less figured out (and which may have even been stated on the list before): that the new Roxy studio album is dead. I'm of mixed emotions about that.... On the one hand, it would have been nice to hear what the guys could come up with after reuniting in our new century. On the other hand, if the effort were subpar, it would not only be disappointing but also, at least for me, it would have dethroned Avalon as their swansong. I know Avalon is not to some fans' tastes, but it was top form of the second incarnation of Roxy Music, and if they had to break up, it was a good stopping point. To come back 20 years later and drop something lame would have been quite a shame, IMHO. In any case, it sounds like we will get to hear a bit of it on his new solo record--I take it from the article that he repurposed some of what had been recorded.
