WWW.BBKINGBLUES.COM Also Tickets just went on sale for Grace Jones July 30, Hammerstein Ballroom, NYC. Jocelyn & others onlst have raved about her current show.I I haven't seen her since she did a benefit for ACT UP, in memory of Keith Haring in the late 80s. And ... Digression, if anyone onlist has a line on an extra ticket for MOTT this fall in London , LET ME KNOW!! Regards R. Deagle - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- More digressions, Off Topic, you have been warned! Busy Week! Just got in from seeing the Iggy Pop interview for the NY Times speaker's Series. Iggy was quite warm and articulate. The thang was taped and will probably show up in the Time's website or something. Structured around film clips of Iggy's "influences": Louis Armstrong, Bucca White, Jerry Lee Lewis, BoDiddly, James Brown, & the Ramones. The film clip would be shown Then Iggy would talk about influences, anecdotes, etc. Some went pretty far afield, but oddly Bowie was not really a topic. Saw Van Der Graaf Generator last Sunday (absolutely amazing) VDGG were a 3 piece, 2 keyboards and drums with Peter Hamill doing some guitar. One of the best shows I've ever seen, but I wish I'd been closer, reserved seats... usually they are standing there. Acoustic Strawbs opened, I never listened to them back in the day. Good though. Last Thursday I saw the "Regeneration Tour", ABC , Berlin, Wang Chung, and Cutting Crew. (Heaven 17 had been promised, but I think they were omitted for the same reason the venue was changed, poor ticket sales. The surprise was Wang Chung, really good as a blues band. Berlin... tore it up, but not really a fan. ABC was the draw, yes I know Martin Fry is a poor man's Ferry, but I really love ABC.
