Surely where the word Respect is spoken, it has nothing to do with a song  
title? More likely the urban vernacular to declare "respec'  " for  someone 
or something? After BF declares the backing track to be "so cool",  someone 
in the studio (that seems populated with the kind of sycophancy that BF  
really doesn't need if a new album is ever to be released) is joining in with  
the group elation session and is praising the playback by saying  "Respect"?
 
I think so...
 
Liked the backing track though. Question is...will BF ever record the  
vocal?

Spot on Richard. I see no clues in the video suggesting that this is a Stax
cover. An homage to David "It's a groove thing" Williams maybe .... 

However when I affirm that this audacious 45 second jam is more thrilling
than anything on the Byrne / Eno album I fear we may not be so aligned in
our thinking.....
