And what a special night it was. The applause at the end of set opener The Light Pours Out Of Me was deafening, prolonged and with much affection. It's a reunion I thought would never happen, but I'm glad it did and I'm glad I was there (despite being partially deaf thanks to a lingering ear infection, but the special earplugs came in very useful). I'll not attempt a review, as this blog says it all better: http://thevinylvillain.blogspot.com/2009/02/gig-reviews-magazine-manchester.html Roxy content - we got the original version of Chance Meeting in our pre-gig mix, which seemed rather apt to me. And I didn't clock Devoto's footwear, but took careful notice of Barry Adamson's outfit, he's one cool mofo!
