I can only echo (or should I now call it digital delay) what the others said about the Metaphors gig. The closeness to the stage and the site of all these bits of equipment wired together like spaghetti junction with all these weird noises coming out (sometimes not as successfully as they would like) let me know what a 1972 Roxy Music concert would have been like. Early Roxy Music was about juxtaposition and this eclectic mix of instruments and musical backgrounds was just that. If you get the chance to go, go. UK band The Brigadier has done what I think is an excellent cover of a Roxy song I honestly thought was uncoverable - "Stranded" classic "Just Like You." The track should hopefully be posted sometime between 8pm and 9pm US Eastern Standard time, and it should stay up on the page for a week. I hope that the Avalon community likes it. As always, you can check the track out at www.myspace.com/songsofroxymusicrevisited We're starting to get a bunch of really good tracks now, including a completely re-worked "The Bob (Medley)" by the wonderful (re-formed) Re-make/Re-model. We're also getting a good number of submissions for our Cover Model Search - all quite fun. Stay tuned!
