Blimey, I think I cracked me cheeks. That's what I get for keeping silent for so long, giving J the "wittier place" he craved. (We'll be hearing soon from our trap-door spider now, I'm sure.) Shame I had to break the silence with another cheeky crack gag. Hope Jocelyn can forgive me. Also wondering where my good mate Rob has gone. Hope y'all 're doin' fine. It's been so long now, yet it seems that it was only yesterday. And what's keeping that new Roxy album? Gee ain't it funny how the time slips away. I can't believe that anyone is surprised that Ferry is vain, even during a crisis. It's from their 1970 debut album "Moloch" on the label National. Moloch is a band from Memphis; the production, arrangements, engineering, album design all done by Don Nix. The bass line is copied from the one in Slim Jenkins' Place, the B-side of Booker T & The MG's Groovin' ('67). Don once played sax in an early Mar-Keys line-up. The lyric line 'Got my big feet in the window, got my mind down the ground' is autobiographical: Don Nix once fell from the second floor down down down down down without breaking anything. This pre metal bluesrocker was the natural consequence. National was a subdivision of Stax, when Stax lost its free spirited independence as part of Paramount Pictures.
