Saw that snippet on Pauldrum, hmmmmm, Tim Allen was still mentioning going into rehearsals in Feb, so I guess that was written in January. Wonder how much (or little) has changed since then? I've decided to use Roxy Music and its members as my measurable (although if you want to use Elvis, G4 or anyone else as your favourite celebrity, that's fine too!). If I could ask as many of you good folk out there (lurking or otherwise) as possible to take a couple of minutes to complete an online questionnaire related to this project, that would be fabulous. It's completely anonymous too, so you can stay lurking in the zig-zag shadows. Once I've correlated the answers and worked out some attitude patterns, I hope to ask the 'celebrities' their attitudes to the results. Sounds complicated, but it's not really. So, if you want to be part of Roxy Science or need to find out more, have a read or fill in the questionnaire electronically at http://www.futuresunproject.com/celebrity_attitudes/ There should be a link going up at Vivaroxymusic in case you need a reminder of the URL later. I really appreciate everyone's help. Big numbers of participants will produce more interesting results. Hopefully it should be fascinating. Ta all! Very polished performance by a group of high musical ability. Nice venue but only 40 or so in the audience. The Metaphors music seems to me to be a cross between AM's Resolving Contradictions and the more ambient style of Music for the Senses. The lack of crowd did not therefore take much away from the show as it is music that requires some attention. It suits smaller venues and would go well in a jazz club style environment. They played the tracks (or at least most of them) that are on the web, as well as The Pride & The Pain (instrumental version, no slave drivers!) Tara and Bitterwseet. Hazel Mills is a decent vocalist, who also sang a couple of covers, All Tomorrows Parties and Radiohead's Climbing Up The Walls. Apart from Loyang Tractor Factory from Resolving Contradictions, I think they played some other stuff off the forthcoming album as well as finishing on a rousing instrumental featuring a solo from Julia Thornton. 75 mins in all. Enjoyable stuff and my 16 y o son (the youngest in the audience by a long way) was quite impressed.
