The first Swatch was produced in 1982 and the brand was not on the  
market before March, 1983. So, even admitting that Ferry was ahead of  
his time in the late seventies, I very much doubt that he wore a  
Swatch then!

Agreed. Though the Rolex seems like an upgrade from that 'mystery  
Swatch' to me anyway And, of course, wearing Jaeger LeCoultre to a  
Spice Girls concert would be a bit overdone.
