I'd be interested to gauge opinion on the 76 tour footage. Obviously it's interesting and it's there to be looked at BUT is it that good ? I find most of it very stiff and uninspiring - particularly "The In Crowd" and " A Hard Rain" even "Thrill of it All", which I love, seems lacklustre.. His stage presence seems very uncomfortable to look at - particularly the movements ... moving backwards and forwards on one spot, arms swaying up and down . Even the performance of Virginia plain seems empty.. where are the Sirens ? they could have added some fizz to the procedings ! The other stuff "Full house" etc. seems much more worth the effort and money.. Sorry for being such a whining whinge - it's my age . - ----------------------------------------- Email sent from www.virginmedia.com/email Virus-checked using McAfee(R) Software and scanned for spam ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 22 Sep 2007 12:42:05 +0200 From: "Michiel van Sleen" Subject: Re: [AVALON] Roxy DVD announced! I know for sure it was 1976 because I had just searched for movies from that year to download (Oops, naughty naughty!) and found our beloved armswayer! That show was very exciting, I thought. I'll have to check it out. Probably another gig. Your movement description seems to befit a lot of BF shows perfectly. Bryan caught in the limelight, trying to fly (literally) but his feet seem to be glued to the stage, and his mouth to the mike. Flutter, flutter! A slave to love with broken wings. A clipped Cupid. Sorry. - ----- Original Message ----- From: To: Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2007 12:21 PM Subject: [AVALON] DVD > Rare footage it may be but most of it's available on you tube... > I'd be interested to gauge opinion on the 76 tour footage.
