It was released as a single in USA with his solo version of Re-make/Re-model as the b-side. Ferry's version of the Gallaher and Lyle song appeared around the same time that they were charting with it in 1976. Never understood much of the reason he choose to do this cover. Covered in the same year as the release date of the original while all the other covers are old favorites. Strange! anyone knowsthe story behind it? You may remember that John O'Brian helpfully pointed me some time ago to the HMV online supply of Dylanesque as a digipak CD album. In case someone means to order and wasn't as immediate as me, I thought I should tell you that my order placed same day as John sent the e-mail has not arrived and HMV merely state that they are searching for alternative supply. Doesn't look too hopeful, so don't waste your time at present with HMV, but does anyone know anywhere else that has this gem?
