Why oh why does that ugly troll on keyboards always have to pretend he's so important? far too big for his boots. Can't Letterman just tell him to bog off? I feel he spoils every musical guest spot - but luckily I don't watch many Letterman shows. BTW this time I'm not referring to Colin Good. :-) Who was on the drums for Bryan? (And, sorry Andy, I don't mind them too much; they seem to pep up the old boy whenever he's on that show.) Curious report on this site today about Roxy / BF http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/roxy%20music%20reform%20in%20th e%20studio_1035513 Mostly nonsense but the bit at the end is telling ... " In the meantime, Ferry is trying to fund a U.S. tour so he can promote his new album of Bob Dylan covers there. He explains, "It's such a terrible shame we can't get to America at the moment; we just can't afford it. "It loses too much money, 'cause it's quite a big band, and the exchange rate being what it is... Maybe we can find a great hedge fund sponsor for a tour." - -----Original Message----- From: owner-avalon@smoe.org [mailto:owner-avalon@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Andy Cooper Sent: 29 June 2007 10:00 To: avalon@smoe.org Subject: [AVALON] BF on Letterman on YouTube Thanks for the link....interesting clip. If you're a Brit looking to go to the US, your sterling is going to buy lots more dollars than it could a year ago- therefore it is relatively cheaper for you because of the exchange rate! Just who is advising BF about money thesedays? Mactheaxe ***************** Yes that may be true when you are considering what one would need to pay for tour expences here.....but...I don't think that is how it works. And not that I am defending his current descion, you do have to take into account he would be paid from here, from a US promoter, in US dollars, that once transfered back to Mother England, would mean less value for services rendered when finally in good old Pound Sterling. He is quite grading but the little man is big time talented. All you need to do is go on line & look up what the man has done. Everyone who is into music knows of his talent.---At one time Letterman did sit & chat with the guest singers. Look at some of the old works of Ferry & you will see him sitting & chatting. In fact the Mamouna tour in 1994. For some reason it changed when he started letting unknowns come on for exposure to help their career.
