In an intervieuw in the late 70 with Lou reed he told he liked the cover very much and he he said he started to play it live as the Ferry interpretation. Remarkable is that he skips part of the lyrics of the original and he uses part of the lyrics of anonther velver song "Im begining to see the light" In a way it's a cover of two songs.
