Martin I think you should let Mr Clarkson in - he LOVES Bryan. "totemic - age has no meaning" he gushed in his Koko review. And he is cool in a very uncool sort of a way. He even compares Ferry to Jaguars on Top Gear "it's the Bryan Ferry of the car world, its outwardly very refined, but underneath its still a rock star". But there's certainly a difference between casual appreciation, genuine admiration and outright idolization and the list so far has definitely contained all three.... Best thread in ages though completely agree! Perhaps we should have one for those who detest him Starter for ten - Mike Figgis - rude git that he was about our hero. I'm afraid (c) rules out Clarkson, most footballers, Brian May, although I accept Ian McShane - Lovejoy is Life On Mars in the country!.
