He was talking about IEDHAH and then they played it, now he's talking about how he met the Country Life cover girls and they're about to play TTOIA. No idea how much longer this will go. Ok, the show is called "Surface Noise" and it will be repeated tonight at 11 p.m. ET. They also played "All Along The Watchtower" from the new album. It was the first song I've heard from the new album, and I'm a bit underwhelmed. The arrangement is very identifiable as Ferry, but it's also a sound that we've heard over and over again, so I'm a bit disappointed in that. However, I am a lot more disappointed in the vocal--it's very blah IMO. The host of the program said the album would be out "soon, if it isn't already" (?), and also said that the covers were "immaculate"...which is probably related to my feeling of "meh" about AATW. Yes, it's a good list. If it is okay to discuss the Roxy albums here. I would like to do just that. My favourites are Stranded. Number two is Country Life. And the third is Siren. After that, the two first albums. Stranded has always felt more mature than the two first albums. The first albums has a splendid charm, but has a lack of "regularity" in the sound. Stranded holds an equable quality. I also feel that the experimental side takes over focus from the core essence in some of the songs of the two first albums. Especially this is obvious when we compare the 2HB B-side Ferry single version with the Roxy album version.
