Well shot, though. The director seems to be the artist Stefan Bruggemann. He may be a fan but may also have nothing to do with the use of Ferry's music as soundtrack to the film, which was originally called A Production of Nothing and had an original score and spoken dialogue. Another YouTube user has uploaded the original. As it happens, it's possible that Ferry likes the artist's work. Here they both are at Bruggeman's current exhibition at Blow de la Barra, in London: The gallery blog is here, and lists Ferry's site among its links. The other stuff uploaded by the same YouTube user - robertsmithrodriguez - is largely by the same artist and sometimes also uses Ferry's stuff as soundtracks so perhaps it's this YouTube user who is mixing the audio and video. Among the credited clips are others featuring Cristina Piaget, the woman in the Positively 4th Street clip. > youtube is a notorious source for homemade videos. Why notorious? Company blurb: "As more people capture special moments on video, YouTube is empowering them to become the broadcasters of tomorrow." (A whole message spent trying to avoid 'mashup' and the use of an umlaut.) ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2007 02:14:32 EDT From: KWil632057@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Promo for Positively 4th St In a message dated 26/04/2007 02:40:59 GMT Standard Time, bahi.para@gmail.com writes: Why notorious? Because there is a lot of fan-made material (music videos, movie trailers etc) that people think is the genuine article but isn't. Breaching copyright isn't really "more people capture special moments on video"!
