Having lived with this album for a bit now I love it. Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues is truly outstanding, and although All I really want to do, If not for you and baby let me follow you down are weakish the standard is pretty good on the rest. Tin hat on - I'd rather listen to this than Frantic or Mamouna. He is mixed quietly again and so the whole thing sounds better the higher the volume. And the drum sound is lightweight throughout which is a shame. But credit to the Cool Ruler (might need to stop calling him that after this weeks events, although the "Prisoner of Perfection" hardly seems any better) for yet another album far better than most. I'm pleased it charted at 5 as well, he deserves that. These awards, why do they ignore him all the time? ............................................... Maybe it will grow on you with time. Snip We know that the new Roxy album wont be out for ages, so Dylanesque is an appetizer in a way. something to keep us going until it's released. he wants it to be pefect, apparently it's the lyrics that take up his time. maybe we could propose a few ideas for him. NATURALLY The Great God Bryan Ferry has a right to make pronouncements on anything he likes, BUT Being a reasonably sophisticated person who has been in the media spotlight for decades, He should have known he would be taken at his word, not his intentions, not to mention, distorted for the sake of a headline. The writer of Kiss And Tell should know about the media more than he seems to. He was right to apologize as I'm sure he realized what he said sounds stupid and thoughtless (at best). Apology as penance is the form to follow in the media. That's all the public needs to see. Further clarification would only muddy the situation. At least he didn't call anyone a nappy-headed Ho. I'd like to know what situation caused him to run on like that? Usually in interviews he's MUCH more reticent. Yours In Ferry, R. Ferry's boot-in-mouth moment reminds me of a scene in Fawlty Towers: in the presence of Germans Basil Fawlty not wanting to talk about the war.
