Your list had me laughing out loud, Michiel. Thanks! Like a surprising number of people found, Almost Blue changed my attitude to Country somewhat, but it's just another label/genre, isn't it? There's great country, crap country and a lot in the middle. And tastes differ. I really tried to get into Gram Parsons, for example, but he never made my tastebuds twitch one bit. Nanci Griffith at her best gives me serious tingles up the spine, though many would write her off as a total lightweight. And so it goes. Overall, I'd rather folk. Anyway, your humour made up for the disappointment that the Ferry album perhaps isn't as good as I was starting to hope. But I should'nt listen to fortune tellers, just wait and listen and decide for myself.
