Considering that Isaac is seen snapping away at the front of each show with AAA availability the results like the remixes, are distinctly 'average' to be kind to them. As I have yet to hear these remixes I'll reserve judgement on them though I was under the impression the remixes would be released as an album, not a series of ep's. Are these the same product or two separate release projects? The release of these seems as hit and miss as the ongoing saga of the new Roxy album that may or may not be preceded by a Ferry solo album. In all honesty I'm getting bored senseless waiting, and having seen Ferry's slot on the box the other night I would describe it in one word "crap". If that is an indicator of the quality of his performance in the future I'd say get the new material out and follow it with the material that has been stashed away over the last 16 years as a box set and then "Retire as Gracefully as possible". ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Oct 2006 12:47:35 +0100 From: "Thomas Wallace" Subject: [AVALON] Slave To Love Promotion. On the subject of the sudden re-promotion of the "Slave to love" compilation it may well have something to do with the news that was recently on vivaroxymusic.com "Virgin plan to release a Roxy Music double DVD of promo videos and TV appearances in November". ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Oct 2006 08:47:01 EDT From: KWil632057@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Roxy Remixes & Photos In a message dated 01/10/2006 13:22:03 GMT Standard Time, thom.wallace@ntlworld.com writes: 1) Being the son of a once influential rock star does not mean someone has any aptitude behind a mixing desk Not sure that Ferry jnr is all that involved with the remix project (aside perhaps from listening to submissions and giving his opinion). As I see it the remixes are being submitted by other, more respected names in the industry.
