Hot news that I have heard on the grapevine. The new Roxy album has an autobiographical tone dealing as it does with the split between Ferry and Eno and their renewed relationship. More to follow soon J ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2006 01:16:13 +0200 (CEST) From: robert@rwhiteford.freeserve.co.uk Subject: RE: [AVALON] Strangers on the Stairs? As i wasnt picking up the kids til 715 pm I detoured after finishing work in Crawley early to Bluewater. Parked in the usual place by M&S top floor and entered thru their flagship store. Uncle Bryan ! Big posters. Its strange how a guy with no top 10 hits in 20 years has such a high profile. The COOLEST LIVING ENGLISHMAN if that gets his genuis recognised by a mainstream audience fine by me. And he is isnt he? 2. I saw the Scissor Scissors on Jonathan Ross (who surely owes more to the Prisoner of Perfection than the Thin White Duke?). Now Mr O'Briens site tells us of quotes from the SS about great recrdings with Roxy Music. " I dont know if it will even come out". GET A GRIP. FFS can nobody make an attractive proposition out of Roxy / Scissors. Really? Bryan is 61. He is the coolest living Englishman. Who is coller thats dead by the way? The Coolest EVER Englishman? He's able to sell newspapers and M&S suits despite no real hits in 20 years. He is able to go out with girls a 1/3 of his age with relative disinterest. The best scenario = this all comes to a climax in glory for our hero - artistic and chart success once again. Beware Bere Noire - too much procrastination and b***gering about - great songs get lost in the can. I want to hear what Roxy recorded with the SS - and soon. I bet its good. GET ON WITH IT Cheers Rob ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2006 01:14:09 +0200 (CEST) From: robert@rwhiteford.freeserve.co.uk Subject: [AVALON] Beware Bete Noire as a Ferry maniac two things happened today. 1.
