The 61-year-old Roxy Music frontman will appear in an autumn advertising campaign for the store chain's Autograph collection, shot by renowned photographer David Bailey. Ferry, who models a variety of smart tailoring looks for the campaign, including suits by Timothy Everest and shirts by Nigel Hall, said: "I'm really pleased to be working with M&S and to be their autumn face of Autograph. It was great to work with such an icon as David Bailey on the shoot. Marks and Spencer is a great British brand and I'm very happy to be associated with it." Steven Sharp, the firm's marketing executive director, said: "We're delighted to have Bryan on board. He's a real British style icon. What man wouldn't want to look as cool as Bryan Ferry?" Former Liverpool stars Alan Hansen and Jamie Redknapp, and Arsenal legend Ian Wright, were used earlier this year by M&S to promote its Autograph spring/summer range. Other celebrities who have been featured in the campaign include actor Martin Freeman and comedians Jimmy Carr and Bob Mortimer. http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/67508.html ___________________________________________________________ Tiscali Broadband from 14.99 with free setup! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/ ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2006 06:45:58 EDT From: KWil632057@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] M&S I only posted that story 3 weeks ago!
