You'll get no disagreement from me on that point but I did not question that in my original message. >He signed off with a troubled sounding message and maybe he's just got too >much going on y'know? It's fine to forget mailing lists but must common courtesy also be forgotten? If you purchased and mailed a CD as a trade and when you inquired about what you were expecting in return were instead given the name of someone else with whom you could trade for it, would you smile and say, 'OK, great, thanks!'? Not likely. This has happened to two different people who contacted me privately. >Give him the benefit of the doubt even if you never see your CDs again. I wrote off the CD's quite a while ago. I've heard from several people that he has been doing this over a period of many months. Perhaps the large 'trade' with me made him realize he was about to be found out and he didn't want to face the possibility. My original message was to warn that he is not an honorable trader. I have not changed my opinion about that - indeed, it has been reinforced. Sincere apologies to anyone offended by the expression of my feelings. I promise to be more circumspect in the future. I've had many dealings with Daniel over the years and always found him to be reliable and courtious. For him not to uphold his end of the bargain I see as being out of character, so obviously something more important than burning a CD is happening in his life. It happens to us all at some point.
