As the world turns. However there's a deafening silence with regard to feedback on the content. Not even an echo of a sigh. As the original collaborator and editor of this collection I'd love to hear what's your main thing, your chosen one, if you know which way to turn and so forth. I know the picture quality is poor but, on a recent revisit to this remake I was pleasantly surprised by the piece. And I know that a lot of members are viewing these foolish things for the first time. Feedback please. Yours, in pride and pain, Martino PS. Since rejoining the list a few months back, after a two year hiatus, I am a tad disappointed by the lack of comment, subjective ramblings etc. Its all soooo factual, dry. Apart from Jonathon's reports from the gossip rags - which I savour - there's not much actual chat. We used to have some good knock-about rows! Usual rules apply, Strictly trade only, will offer to 3 burners, who will offer it again to the list, and 2 non burners. If a trade cannot be arranged, I will accept, blank DVD's and a SAE, anywhere in the world. Please Note ! I do not have a scanner, so I am unable to send artwork for this DVD, if Ivor or anybody else can send me the file, I will be happy to pass it on. Martino For a while it seemed such an exciting period for Ferry and Roxy. I joined in a hiatus between Mamouna and ATGB I think. As soon as ATGB came out there was a rollercoaster of concerts TV and news, not to mention Ferry's only effort at being different musically in recent years. He even had a different haircut!! Frantic had some good songs but was over produced (again). (By the way that beautiful acoustic version of Fool for Love on the Porter just makes this point) and the Roxy re union and the Ferry shows last Summer - the ones he did anyway - seemed a bit sterile. I think we need some material to discuss! ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 10:19:03 +0000 From: Jane Fraser Subject: Re: [AVALON] A Perfumed Sigh DVD Martino and everyone, I had this in its original VHS form and struggled to watch it because the quality was so poor, but this DVD version is a revelation and I feel as if I am seeing it for the first time. My favourites have to be: On The Bed with Paula Yates - Bryan lolling uncomfortably on the pink bedcover with his rather shabby white socks on full view and a large pillow strategically placed between him and Ms Yates as he fends off embarrassing questions, and the French Soap Opera which has to be seen to be believed! I am currently running off some copies which I will be offering back to the List in a few days. Don't miss it!! Looked at his most cool during this period as well. ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 07 Nov 2005 07:35:15 -0500 From: KWil632057@aol.com Subject: [AVALON] RE: A bit more hot gossip! Sharon Osborne (Asda mum to you and me!) launches an unprovoked and frankly bitter attack on Ferry in an interview in GQ magazine this month for being a social climber! He's in great company as Mick Jagger also gets the rough side of Sharon's tongue (pity him) as does Madonna. Also in an interview with Status Quo in the Mail yesterday Francis Rossi moaned that he can't get away with wearing white socks but Ferry can! As for Bryan? According to a close source he needs to lose a bit of weight if he's to get back into those leather trousers... I hate to say to much as I can't burn any & have to relie on nice folks to help me get one. And the older Avalonians & you know who you are have always been kind to help out others & that I thank you for. Myself I have gotten CD's for some in other parts of the world that they can't get & have bought & mailed them on. Some of us will go the extra mile & I hope this time that the DVD will arrive in the U.S.----For those of you who didn't get Bryan's Live 8 segment in Berlin. The LIVE 8 is available in a 4 disc set in stores tomorrow Nov.8. The cheapest I've seen it for is $27. Will make a nice Christmas gift to someone on your list.---Martino did an excellent job of finding those pieces for "Perfumed Sigh" that I had never before seen & sure some of you hadn't seen. There is also "Penthouse Perfection" that Reecey & his Strandpower team did for us. Would love to have that one done in DVD. These cyber spaces at one time as Martino said was non-stop action. Heated up at times but still in fun all the same. Always, Marlana ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Nov 2005 21:11:15 -0000 From: "Mark Stephens" Subject: [AVALON] A Perfumed Sigh My offer is now closed for a copy of this DVD, Regards, Mark NP A cassette tape recording of a Chicago Radio Broadcast, 2001.
