It isn't, but the young woman at the till asks me if I'm a fan. Yes, since 1974 I say (unwisely!). They played at the KoKo a while back, she says. I was there, I reply, it was great. A friend of mine was dancing with them that night, so I got to go backstage and meet Bryan Ferry, she says. We chat briefly about how he looks good for his age, etc., plus how fans are saying the Liverpool gig was even better than Koko. She tells me the Isle Of Wight gig was hugely under-rehearsed, including the dancers not knowing where they were meant to be on stage. I leave with a book about Comics and Rock instead of Both Ends Burning. It's not very good but has lots of pictures.
