It just goes to show how hard it is to get it right. Ferry and Antony Price made it all look so effortless, but obviously not. Everyone  bootleggers, fans, people taking the mick  imagines that all you need for a Roxy album cover is a sultry bird in a negligee pouting at the camera! Personally, I think the Jonathan Rigby book cover is okay, as pastiches of Roxy covers go  I've seen much worse! I seem to recall that Ferry once claimed back in '72 that he wanted each successive Roxy album to feature a gradually older and older Kari-Ann, in the same pose, on the same bed.
