Heres what I'd like to see: 1. LOVE WAR 2. YOUR LOVE HAS DIED 3. YOU CAN DANCE Outside bet - "Blinded by the life I'm living" These seem to have the "something different" factor about them. I've heard this song rather a lot over the last few days as it seems to have a remarkable soothing effect on my six week old baby girl. And one thing struck me... Ever since I first heard this song way back in 1980 (that's a full 25 years folks!), when Bryan sings about driving to the movie show, I see him in a plush convertable, driving through the Hollywood hills. But where is he driving in your mind's eye? Knightsbridge, Paris, Newcastle? Answers on a hub cap! I have always loved this song Simon, one of my all time favourite Roxy songs, like you I imagine it is somewhere on the West coast, sports car, drive in movie etc. This song hold many happy memories of summers gone by. When it is played live, I always hope that the crowd don`t jump in too soon with their applause as I love Ferry`s ending. On a scale from 1 - 10 where would you Avalonians rate "Oh Yeah" I would give it 9 Off topic, will there be a "Mad Affair" held this year??? I used to love it, in fact I do still like the actual record, but 'live', I've never thought it works. Funny that. On a similar note, I've always loved BF's 'Kiss And Tell' and 'Slave To Love', but never thought they worked 'live' at all. It's the other end of the scale though with the likes of 'The Bogus Man', which I absolutely adored on the recent gigs. Funny how some things seem to work and some don't (personal opinions abound, naturally). I do hope Roxy have another shot at 'Chance Meeting'. It was fabulous on the BF ATGB Tour, the string section doing it real justice, and that would be a very hard 'live' version to top. Would be interested to know though, what's the general peoples fave track of the recent gigs ? >>>Off topic, will there be a "Mad Affair" held this year???>>> There are no plans for it, at least not in the previously known format, although a few other ideas have been mooted for a rather different kind of a very special get-together. But that would have to be a 2006 event. Driving through a landscape covered with snow (lots of)... I must say I like that track, but I figure that if the lead vocal were changed and somebody else sang it, it wouldn't be half as good. On several tracks, F&B relies quite a bit on the brillant vocals to differentiate it from MOR.
