Rob, Danielle and I arrived at 03:00 pm at the Heinenken Music Hall (HMH) and met some other Dutch fans. We hang around the back of the HMH and hope to see the band arriving. The security-officer said that the crew and the band members were already in, but that the leadsinger (hm.hm) was coming later. Because we saw only one bus in the garage of the HMH, we didn't believe that Phil, Paul and Andy were in already. So we decided to stay there and keep our eyes open. About 04:00 pm Andy and Phil arrived. They took all the time for pictures and autographs. They were very friendly and relaxed. At 05:30 pm Bryan still hasn't arrived. Because we want to have the best places at the front and had to eat something, we decided to leave the back of the HMH. Just after we get our meal, we heard that Bryan had arrived and that he also took time for pictures an autographs. The doors of the HMH opened and we all thought we could enter the hall. But we had to wait again for they opened the doors to the hall. It was very hot inside the building and nobody understood why we have to wait so long. At least the doors opened and we ran to the front to get the best places. I stood at the 2nd row in front of Andy Mackay. At 08:30 pm the show started with Re-make-Re-model, Street Life and Out Of The Blue. The band showed very relaxed and the were having fun on stage. The Roxy-train rumbled on and on with Ladytron, A Song For Europe, My Only Love (well done Sara!), Both Ends Burning, Tara (with Chris Spedding on Spanish guitar), In Every Dreamhome, The Bogus Man, Jealous Guy, Pyamarama, Editions Of You and Virginia Plain. As encore they played Love Is The Drug and Do The Strand. It all took 1 hour and 25 minutes. We all wanted more, but this was it. A very good gig. It was nice to meet so many of you. Hope to see you again soon. I was off in the wilds of the Berkshires with no television signal, let alone cable or internet access, and was sorry we'd forgotten to TiVo any of the available performances before we left. Now I have a place where I can browse a bunch of performances! Tracklisting still to be finalised, but Street Life is among tracks in the can. 10538 Overture (original by ELO) 20th Century Boy (original by T-Rex) Don't Believe A Word (original by Thin Lizzy) Drive In Saturday (original by David Bowie) Hanging On The Telephone (original by Blondie) Hellraiser (original by Sweet) He's Gonna Step On You Again (original by John Kongos) No Matter What (original by Badfinger) Little Bit Of Love (original by Free) Rock On (original by David Essex) Stay With Me (original by The Faces) Street Life (original by Roxy Music) The Golden Age Of Rock & Roll (original by Mott The Hoople) Waterloo Sunset (original by The Kinks) However, that's not all. While the 14 songs above were originally planned to be released on an album late 2004 indeed, the release of the "BEST OF"-album in October of last year changed those plans drastically. And since then, eight more cover songs have been recorded: American Girl (original by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) Heartbeat (original by Jobriath) How Does It Feel (original by Slade) Kick Out The Jams (original by MC5) Roxanne (original by The Police) Dear Friends (original by Queen) When I'm Dead And Gone (original by McGuinness Flint) Winter Song (original by Lindisfarne) Street Life, if included could give welcome exposure to the group and swell the Ferry coffers.
