The concerts are canceled. Yesterday I was in Vlaardingen (Holland) to see Frantic. They did one of their best concerts the ever did (as Frantic. I prefer the time they were Re-make/Re-model and played only the Roxy stuff). The reason of the cancellation was of "organizational reasons" , Ron Snelderweerd (the singer of Frantic, said.) There will be a DVD of the last concert I've heard.............. Here's an edited excerpt from the website of the charity that used to employ one Haywood Stenton Jones (Bowie's dad) as a promotions officer until his death in 1969... "Due to a surge in demand for bvintage vinylb records at its nation-wide network of stores, Barnardobs, the UKbs leading childrenbs charity, has reported that stocks are running low, and the charity is urging people to donate their unwanted discs to meet the demand. Vinyl trends at Barnardobs stores indicate regional differences in demand. In Wales for example, there is a huge demand for eighties artists such as Madonna and Prince, while vinyl addicts in the Midlands and South West prefer bands from the seventies such as The Clash and Pink Floyd. Interestingly, those in the North West, support their home-grown talent, and request albums by The Beatles and The Happy Mondays, while the Scots seem to be big Bowie fans. The site goes on to publish a top ten of most requested vinyl albums at their stores across the UK... Barnardobs Top 10 Requests 1. Sergeant Pepperbs Lonely Hearts Club Band b The Beatles 2. Country Life b Roxy Music 3. Sticky Fingers b Rolling Stones 4. Rapperbs Delight b The Sugarhill Gang 5. True Blue b Madonna 6. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars b David Bowie 7. Purple Rain b Prince & the Revolution 8. Dark Side of the Moon b Pink Floyd 9. Pills Thrills & Bellyaches b Happy Mondays 10. London Calling b The Clash Best wishes Richard Mills n/p This Is Where I Belong - Ron Sexsmith ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe, mail majordomo@smoe.org with: unsubscribe avalon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 26 Apr 2005 04:01:07 EDT From: Go2Sweeney@aol.com Subject: Re: [AVALON] Allegedly In a message dated 26/04/2005 02:02:59 GMT Daylight Time, Chandla911@aol.com writes: "Don't bother, a real racket...nice cover though! Nothing in music is that original that it hasn't been done before..
