Thanks for putting me right, Trent. I'm notoriously teetering on senility myself, but I think from my cloudy recollections that WGO, had a demonic bearded Ferry attempting to walk up and down a staircase while sneeringly spitting out the lyrics. SOTT conjures up memories of The Kenny Everett Show with a bearded Ferry hands on hips sporting an Anthony Price "uniformy" type ensemble with a couple of uniformy Numanesque ladies doing something or the other in the back ground. Looking further into my crystal ball of the past I see an eagle and a back projection of people being threatened with military batons . But then again, this might just be a muddled conglomeration of everything I've seen before and a candidate for the Roxy Dream Thread on Pauldrum. Now what's that stupid spiv moustache (circa LST) doing back on the Ferry top lip in his new movie role? It hardly gives credence to his character of a gay serial killer now does it - or maybe it was modeled on John Wayne Gacey? R. I'm also reminded of Antony Price recounting of how the bird used in the video (no, not Lorraine Chase) went slightly mental at one stage, flew around the set and crapped all over Mr Ferry. I knew there was trouble after that quiff appeared recently. He can make futuristic rock music whilst looking like a bank manager on acid and still be cool - but can he pull off a moustache? It's a tall order. On Sign of the Times I thought it was about drugs and suicide as many of his songs really are. "Hard Lines Crack Down" "Here is a taste of here and now" "Bent on a life between the lines" "We live We die - End on a Sign of the Times" What a magnificent single and a great lyric too - such a shame it stiffed at no 37 - criminal. Like the moutstache. And for those still reading I LIKE the Roxy Remodelled disc - whats wrong with you all. Give it a few listens. MTT and DSTD particularly nice elevator music. Your guess is as good as mine. I would reckon if there was going to be a new album by then we would have to see more of it in the press soon. Going by 'Frantic', we started to read about it early January 2002 and had track listings/artwork etc by early February. The reviews etc where appearing by early March and the album came out late April. By this account it takes around 3-4 months from when the initial info like album title etc appears until the album is on the shelves, the publicity machine seems to need that amount of time to organise interviews/reviews, press/TV appearances etc. All we know at this stage is that they are recording an album. As it is now the second week in April it would be at least mid July before the album comes out and that is if additional info starts to appear in the press soon. I had just been discussing this very topic not 10 minutes ago with a fellow AvalOnion and I'll repeat here what I said to him: I seriously doubt there is going to be a new album.
