This is the song I mentioned, when she "guest" appeared at the Eddie Izzard hosted shindig at Ronnie Scott's a few weeks back. Mildly amusing, but save your dosh. >Is there a rock star alive who isn't a borderline paedophile? Michael Jackson? You could hardly describe him as borderline. I think its all just rumour - the recordings they are supposed to be doing together will probably come out under Ferry's name. With a bit of luck, it will mean he packs up remixing the stuff he's had for years and intends to bung out at the next opportunity as a Dylan/Lennon compilation and gets involved in a little bit of scribbling with Messers MacKay and Manzanera. Even if they all re-record Love War together (which you must admit is very Roxy even as it stands)it has to be more uncertain territory than a forthcoming Ferry release. And Richard you had me fooled for a minute with your "exclusive" run-down. I just hope you're not right! >As for the IOW - we are all too old to be doing festivals. You speak for yourself, I feel I am at a better age now than ever for festivals, what with the colostomy and all, no more queuing for toilets. I like "nu jazz" and some chill out lounge music (Cafe Del Mar, Hotel Costes), but those are creative pieces written or redone by a bigger variety of artists and the songs don't all sound the same. Joel, I agree, this CD is truly an abomination...... I can't remember who the artist was that did the voice through the machine sound (I think Cher?) but a number of the songs have these kinds of vocals and they are bad, bad, bad..... IMHO. I'd rather listen to the Simple Minds' Neon Lights which has a great cover of FYP.
