["Thomas Wallace" Subject: [AVALON] Spin Me Round Have to agree with Mr Deagle about his choices, but Spin Me Round, Jonathon........? It is beautiful, sad, evocative. I only have to hear the beginning and I get goosebumps, a sure sign that 'it work's. The music fits the lyrics perfectly. Simple, but so effective. To me it's Ferry at his melancholy best. Lost love, missing love, the end of the affair. Ferry after a night out and left alone (as if..!) 'Spin Me Round' - dancing or in your mind. Not understanding why it's all over - pass the tissues, please. Tickets #3. Full set in two halves so there's opportunity to visit the bar :) We had a really great first gig at the Reckless Engineer; hope to duplicate this at The Prom. Thanks for the forbearance of those not interested! Incidentally, for those who are, critically or otherwise, I'm the only connection with 'Foxy Music'. No, what pushed Ferry off the radar was turning out over produced low on content albums like Boys and Girls and then taking an eternity to record various projects that mostly failed to see the light of day. Let's hope that when we finally do receive the next album that it is more than the patchwork quilt of re-recordings of old material and cover versions that was stitched together to form Frantic. I partially agree although I'd be happy for a long production time to produce another For Your Pleasure.
