Hooray hooray! At last the new Ferry and Roxy collections (

released! I got
mine from a friend who purchased them for #5 each from a London  store called
'Fopp.' How accurate you might say.

As greatest hits collections they are both redundent. Its as if all the
albums were placed on a stacking system and the first 10 or so tracks to play
were chosen.

The artwork is ok, some surprising and rare photos chosen  but Mr Bracewells
sleeve notes are quite poor compared to the work done on  the Platinum
Collection.

Hilariously the discs are copy protected which is odd considering the other
compilations aren't.

The problem is of course that this is a collection nobody really wants. The
only benefit aside from the unique cover art is that Can't Let Go does  not
end with a horrid click as it does on my copy of TBSB.


Aside from sad completists like myself there's little reason for anyone to
want these, particularly over the superior Platinum Collection which should
have  been the last word on the matter.

Would love to know what Brian Eno, who always insists on looking forward,
makes of this nonsense?
