It is odd that people love it or loathe it. Colleen is a big fan of In Your
Mind. Its not even that Americans like it and Europeans dont  which would
be understandable given the chemistry.

It just seems so lightweight and mainstream to me. None of that dark brooding
menace.

Lock him up with the piano and some chemistry of a different type. This
Island Earth - and you and me. Then you get For Your Pleasure, Stranded and
the Bride Stripped Bare. Introduce big rosters of musicians and endless
session players and you get In Your Mind and Taxi.

Stay bent on a life between the lines  its much more interesting that way.

It's good that we have such different favouritres amongst his work on the list
- - probably just demonstrates the breadth of talent he has demonstrarted with
many different types of music.

PET SHOP BOYS have come  second in The Telegraph's list of the best cover 
versions ever. Their version of  Elvis' 'You Were Always On My Mind' was pipped 
to the post by Jimi Hendrix's  version of 'All ALong The Watchtower' in the 
poll that was compiled for the  newspaper by a panel of music critics. SOFT CELL 
came sixth  with their version of 'Tainted Love', with KATE BUSH's 'Rocket  
Man', THE HOUSEMARTINS 'Caravan Of Love', ROXY  MUSIC's 'Jealous Guy', SIOUXSIE 
& THE BANSHEES'  'Dear Prudence' and THE COMMUNARDS' 'Don't Leave Me This Way' 
 all gaining places in the top fifty.
