Never mind. Please find enclosed the pdf files for the 2 bootlegs. I posted them at artwork.easytree.org. but according to the webmaster they will not be available before few weeks as they do not update the site very often. I also attached my tradelist in case you would be interested in a trade. Un amical salut de Paris. Really good melodies on it but the edge was taken off by mainstream surroundings. The opposite of Avalon where less obvious melodies were made beautiful by the spacy arrangements. I still think he should be locked up in a studio with a piano and a microphone. Even if he reworked old songs again I bet it would be brilliant. For me also, although there are two redeeming tracks on Taxi ie : "Will You Still Love Me" which I think is a great song for Ferry , his voice perfect for the songs atmosphere and, "I Put A Spell On You" which is a hauntingly good version of the original.. "I have tried, but I just don't enjoy them at all. Over-produced, over-layered sound on practically every track. Each track is virtually indistiguishable from the next." This has been articulated many times before and is ceratinly true IMO so far as Mamouna is concerned. I too have tried many times listening to Mamouna and Ferry`s attempt to bring the excellent production and sounds of Avalon to the album, by "over doing it" has ruined any potential the album might have had. I always get the impression that he was trying far too hard on Mamouna and the result sounds distant and plastic. For me solo Ferry is at his finest is when he cuts out the crap, gets on stage and sings the likes of "Goddess Of Love", his voice so fresh, invigorating and Ferry seems so natural and relaxed. Contrast his voice on this track compared to say IYM, of which, as J.O`B says people (non fans) find his voice "irritating", well I do too and I`m a fan!! He sounds strangled and forced. My least played Ferry albums on a level par would be ATAP, Mamouna and IYM. My most played would be "Frantic, B & G and Bette Noir" I find his more commercially populist solo works has more appeal to me whereas with Roxy I find the opposite is true. Regards to all. In Your Mind is my favorite Ferry album, and actually surpasses about half the Roxy albums for my taste, and Mamouna is the only album with enough depth for me to listen to out of all the post-Bride albums before Frantic.
